Smoothie Bowls

These delicious healthy smoothie recipes make it so easy to diet and eat healthy with fruit, milk, nuts, oats, yogurts and other nutritious ingredients. Eating Smoothies is one of the most effective ways to eat healthy and lose fat but still have some fun with your food. Smoothies help you feel full and eat less. It also helps you stay in peak conditions physically and mentally. So many benefits come with having smoothies, apart from the fact that it can help reduce body fat and increases general wellness, it helps you stay hydrated and aids digestion and they are also great antioxidants. Additionally, healthy smoothies boosts your immunity, helps you catch up on fibers and build stronger bones.
Just because some drinks are labeled a “smoothie” doesnt necessarily make it healthy. Some smoothies are loaded with fruit, juices, fatty creams or yogurts and sweeteners and these are far from weight loss friendly and even contain as much calories as regular food.

I have three different smoothie recipes here today and i call them my 5 ingredient healthy smoothie bowls. I have the Green smoothie bowl, Pineapple/Coconut smoothie bowl and the Mixed Berry smoothie bowl. I hope you pick a tip or two from my recipe for these smoothie bowls and try them out, so we can all raise a glass to good health.

Green Smoothie Bowl
Let me introduce you to my favorite green smoothie recipe. This creamy concoction has leafy greens, fruits to deliver fiber, iron and potassium. My green smoothie bowl contains spinach, banana, almond milk, kiwi and yogurt and then i garnished with banana and granola. This smoothie is very tasty considering it is tagged “green”. The bananas does all the magic in this smoothie, you won’t even taste the spinach. Its filling and delicious with every spoon accompanied with banana and granola.

1 Cup Spinach
2 Medium Bananas
3/4 Cup Almond milk
2 Medium Kiwis
1 Cup Plain Yogurt

Pineapple/ Coconut Smoothie Bowl
Coconuts and Pineapples are two tropical fruits that go together like Rice and Stew, LOL . I enjoy the sweet and tropical feel they bring. They give a very refreshing and relaxing vibe that reminds me of summertime – the beach and white sands. The pineapple gives all the sweetness you need in this smoothie and the coconut gives it texture. This smoothie has pineapple, shredded coconuts, coconut milk, yogurt and oats, garnished with coconut slices, blueberries and granola.

1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut
1 1/2 Cups Fresh Pineapple Chunks
1 Cup Plain Yogurt
1/4 Cup Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Coconut milk

Berry Smoothie Bowl
A refreshing and delicious mixed berry sensation. This berry smoothie consists of only two types of berries because i didn’t want to over do it, and still came out super refreshing and tasty. I garnished this smoothie bowl with granola and blueberries.

1 Cup Frozen Blueberries
1 Cup Frozen Blackberries
1 Cup Plain Yoghurt
3/4 Cup Almond milk
